Hail!!
When the storm hit the town we live in, the weather man on the news said there was a tornado on the ground in Buford, GA!! We had already talked to Dave and Ansley (our neighbors) and they told us we could wait out the storm in their basement (we dont have a basement). Becky went to wake up Brayson and I called Ansley and said we were coming over. We gathered up some things jogged next door! The wives and children went downstairs to the basement while Dave and I did the typical man stuff and went out on the back deck to look at the storm. The sky was black and you could see lightning in the clouds. It wasn't raining but we could hear it coming. We both looked toward Buford (the town center is about 3 or 4 miles to our west) and both looked back at each other and asked "is that a TORNADO!!!???" I have no idea what one looks like except for in the movies. The sky was dark and it looked like there was a section of sky that was dipping down into and behind the trees. No sooner did that statement/question leave our mouths and it started hailing. Huge golf ball size hail!! Dave an I went back inside and rushed downstairs to ride out the storm. Luckily we didn't get any damage in our neighborhood. After the storm passed all the neighbors were out in the street and talking everyone was saying "WOW, we really dodged a bullet there"... and "I can't believe that just missed us!" The kids were picking up the hail and throwing it around.... strange but the sun was out and it was actually warm already.
When we finally walked back to the house after talking a bit I decided to get the camera and take a picture of some hail that hadn't melted yet. Crazy!

Holy Freaking S&%t
So, this is the view from our back porch during the severe weather. This is looking in the direction where there are two tornadoes about 8 miles from us at the very moment we are taking these pictures. Guess what????? Apparently there are more on the way. Yipee!!!
